✧The Met Gala 2017✧

☆ I always look forward to the Met Gala every year! There are so many amazing outfits that all of the stars wear and just love sitting and scrolling through them all. I know there are always some extravagant and daringly bold looks at the event which are very interesting and impressively pulled off, however my favourites are continually the looks with a little elegant and clean-cut touch to them. I sat and picked out all of my favourite looks from the evening (it was hard to just pick a few) and there are photos below, in no particular order. I hope you agree that these were some of the best...

Kendall Jenner:

The one and only Miss Kendall Jenner...WOW just WOW!! She constantly looks incredible but this look was something else! On anyone else I might have said that this dress looks trashy but on Kendall Jenner, who can't love it ?! She is just perfect!

Jourdan Dunn:

I love this H&M look because it is has an edgy yet smart style and Jourdan Dunn makes it look so good!

Miranda Kerr:

OBSESSED with this dress!!! The strapless neckline, the structure of the skirt, the length, the perfect fit, the print...just everything is on point with this dress! I would definitely wear this!

Adriana Lima:

You would think an all black dress would be quite boring at The Met Gala and blend into the background. However when it is a couture dress like this, worn by a Brazilian beauty like Adriana Lima... it is far from boring! This was such an attractive look with the plunging neck line, thigh-high split and fresh-faced, minimalistic make up look.

Sistine Stallone:

This dress is so pretty! Very simple but looks effortlessly beautiful...especially when paired with a slicked back hairstyle and a nice statement body chain (I'm a big fan of a good body chain!).

Daisy Ridley:

I wasn't too sure about this look at first just because of the ruffled hem on the skirt but once I look at it from various angles I saw how beautiful the Oscar De La Renta piece was. The asymmetric skirt is such a good choice and it was kept classy by being worm with a plain black top and black heels. I'm also a big lover of a sleek top not so that just topped this look off for me.

*Daisy Ridley almost reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in these photos with her monochrome outfit and beautifully sleek hair and make up.

Naomi Campbell:

I love most dresses with thigh-high splits and a clean-cut necklines so this Azzedine Alaïa dress was a winner for me. The silver detailing set off the whole look!

Taylor Hill:

I think it is impossible for Taylor Hill to look bad! She stunned in this Carolina Herrera gown and make-up artist Patrick Ta completed the look to perfection with a red smokey eye. Serious beauty goals!!

I am obsessed with pearls and that is what this gorgeous H&M dress largely consists of...it is so elegant and stunning. Stella Maxwell wears this dress so well...classically beautiful!

Priyanka Chopra:

Ralph Lauren created the perfect dress for The Met Gala...he transformed a classic, everyday mac into a dramatic gown that wowed! It was made for that evening (literally Ha). Priyanka Chopra then looked laid-back yet sensual when wearing a shortened version of the dress to The Met Gala after party. Nick Jonas complemented her second look by turning up the heat and undoing his bow tie and unbuttoning his shirt...

Kim Kardashian:

Kim Kardashian always pulls off simple looks so this lovely off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress looked so good on her. The minimalistic forest detailing also helped to show off her curvy figure which is always a bonus for any of the Kardashian girls Ha Ha!

Kate Hudson:

Another chic, minimalistic look was seen on the beautiful Kate Hudson. She wore a one-shoulder Stella McCartney dress which matched well with her new frosty blonde hair.

Joan Smalls:

Joan Smalls showed off her super fit supermodel body in this fiery Topshop dress, edged with studs and chains (I assume the lip ring was there to match with this slight punky edge to the dress, however I am not the biggest fan of the lip ring with such an amazing dress). She then followed this with another body showing number to attend The Met Gala after party...this time a short and simple silver dress.

Katie Holmes:

Katie Holmes looked unbelievably elegant in this emerald , mermaid style Zac Posen gown. It was styled to sophisticated perfection with vintage jewellery, smokey shimmer eyes and a slicked back low bun.

Kylie Jenner:

Kylie Jenner uniquely elegant in this gorgeous nude, embroidered Versace gown with statement fringed sleeves.

Karlie Kloss:

This look worn by Karlie Kloss was simply incredible...I think it is hard for her not to look great (especially when she has got legs to kill!!!) Carolina Herrera was the brains behind this classic tuxedo style dress. The contrasting white shirt underneath, sparking statement ring and clean-cut pointed heels complemented the dress perfectly! I would love to give this outfit a go!

Evan Rachel Wood:

Evan Rachel Wood wore a beautiful Altuzarra embroidered spilt dress come skinny tuxedo trouser jumpsuit. This is something I would most definitely wear; it is relaxed yet classy and elegant. I LOVE it!! I was not the biggest fan of the dramatic eye make-up, although Evan Rachel Wood pulled off the look for the evening.

Gwyneth Paltrow:

I think Gywneth Platrow glowed in this sequinned Calvin Klein dress...the one shoulder dress clung to her toned body in all of the right places. I personally just would had paired the dress with an alternative heel.

Diane Kruger:

This Prada dress was INCREDIBLE! It fit Diane Kruger so well with its gorgeous draped bow and train on the back . The front of the crisp white gown is donned with gold and crystal embellishments which just looked mesmerisingly stunning! Her accessories were matched perfectly with the gown's gold clusters. Simply beautiful!

Emily Ratajkowski:

Oh WOW! It must be a dream to look like this! The stunning model Emily Ratajkowski looked beyond immaculately gorgeous at The Met Gala. She wore a Vincent Van Gogh (Starry Night) inspired sequinned gown by Marc Jacobs. This dress fit her figure to perfection, showing her toned back and just enough cleavage to give the post-impressionistic style dress a sensual edge.

and now for the cute, loved-up couples...

Selena Gomez & The Weekend:

These two were not afraid of showing some PDA at The Met Gala...Selena Gomez's subtly embellished Coach dress looked airy and elegant, paired with her smart looking date's Coach suit and bow tie.

Selena kept her elegant ensemble edgy with her asymmetric bobbed hair do, chocker necklace and bold pink eyeshadow.

The Weekend made sure he was coordinating with his knock-out date by wearing a sparkling brooch to pick out the understated embellishments on Selena's dress.

*They were too cute together...so much love between them.

Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds:

Literally one of the most attractive and sweetest celebrity couple to exist...Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds looked like Met Gala royalty. Blake wore a golden peacock inspired gown by Atelier Versace. There is no wonder that her husband looks forever smitten with this stunning woman on his arm!

Ryan Reynolds' smart navy suit was complimented by a light blue bow tie which matched his wife's dress impeccably, making them look like the perfect paring that they are.
