☩ Modern Day Mystic Meg☽
☾ I have recently bought an amazing purple toned, burn-out velvet kimono from New Look and it is officially my most favourite item in my entire wardrobe! It is stunning; just the right length, light-weight, quality material and an amazing colour perfect for autumn! The outfit pictured below was the first one I created incorporating the statement kimono. It was a quickly thrown together look but it turned out to top any other outfit I've worn in my opinion...I hope you all approve and like the way I styled out the incredible kimono. ♥ xoxo
Oh and the title of this post is 'Modern Day Mystic Meg' because I had quite a few comments from people saying that I was giving them Meg from Hercules (huge compliment) and Mystic Meg vibes (which I unexpectedly also took as a compliment) ha ha! If some of you don't know who these characters are then I've added some photos/gifs towards the end of the post ヅ
Kimono - New Look - here
Bodysuit - H&M - I can no longer find this exact one on the internet however H&M always have incredible bodysuits in stock, like these ones here, here, here and here.
Skirt - Missguided - here
Boots - Zara - unfortunately these are no longer available as I bought these gorgeous boots a long time ago but there are some more burgundy beauts here and here that are sure to still steal the show. As an alternative, there are some incredible black boots with metal details on the Highstreet like these ones here and here.
Belt - Topshop - I can only find the silver version of this belt online here however they may still have it in store as it is an item I would say is a key wardrobe staple all year through. If not then there is a lovely gold alternative here at BooHoo.com.
Necklace - Topshop - this is one of the many beautifully detailed necklaces I have picked up in Topshop sales so this one is not available anymore :( But Topshop always have incredible necklaces to offer such as these here and here (✓OpenClosetTip: always have a dig around in the jewellery sections of the sales at Topshop as you can grab some great bargains e.g. last week I picked up a stunning statement necklace for £2; original price...£16.50!!).
I wore this outfit to a house party I went to with my boyfriend so I thought I would add a few photos of our outfits together as they unintentionally matched quite well (I thought ha). He wore an all black outfit, incorporating his new favourite denim jacket from Asos.
